One of StudioLP4's very first projects, the Historic Restoration of Ashlar Hall in Midtown Memphis, Tennessee, preserved one of the most unique and recognizable residential structures in the city.  Work included Aesthetic & Structural Stabilization of existing damaged & missing original building elements, in addition to partial reconstruction of portions of the National-Register listed Historic Structure.  Originally constructed in 1896 as an ornate single family residence reminiscent of a stone castle, it was later adapted to commercial uses in the 1950s, subsequently housing restaurant and nightclub tenants through the 1990s. From 2001 until 2017, the structure was effectively abandoned, and experienced significant deterioration as a result of neglect.
StudioLP4 collaborated with J. Hunter Fleming of Facture Design to restore, repair, and partially re-construct missing portions of the building's exterior envelope in accordance with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties, with work being completed in 2023.
